SCOTTISH HIGHLAND CATTLE
The Highland Cow is a Scottish breed of rustic cattle. It originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Western Islands of Scotland. This breed is known for its long horns in both the male and females and also for their long shaggy coats. This is also a very hardy breed, able to withstand the intemperate conditions. Originally, they were primarily bred for beef. Highlands produce several colors including black, red-brown, yellow, silver and dun/brindle. A group of cows are typically called a "herd", however, a group of Highlands are known as a "fold".
KATAHDIN HAIR SHEEP
The Katahdin is a breed of domestic sheep developed in the United States. This breed is named after Mount Katahdin, Maine's highest peak, where the original breeder lived. Unlike the wool sheep, the katahdin hair sheep shed their winter coats so they do not have to be sheared.
